Antique Collectible Cast Iron Clothes
This rustic sad iron is sure to bring the new owner back to the bygone days of manual use without the comfort of electricity. Made entirely of cast iron, the top hook latch opens to reveal the reservoir into which the hot coals were placed. Nice looking design on the top. Both the latch and the top handle have pieces of wood to enable handling of the iron. The iron is in good condition for its age and use. We have photographed the interior to show the rust and some flaking of the metal. The rust actually adds a great look to the patina of the piece and really showcases its age.
It is a wonderful decorator piece.
